There are many kind folks who have helped make the Great Mississippi River Race for Rett Syndrome, May 2001 possible who were not listed on the Sponsors pages. We thank them, verbally, in writing, and most importantly, in our hearts.

Your kindess is no longer unsung.

Mary Potter & Clark Eid

Rett Syndrome Community

We would like to thank all of those who have Rett syndrome who continue to wait - and not always Silently! - for the world's continued support and help in improving the quality of their lives in all ways possible. Without your presence on this planet, this race would have never become a reality! We hope you won't have to wait much longer.......

We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to parents, family members, and friends of the Rett syndrome community who have worked hard to help those with Rett syndrome in the past, today, and in the future. We are grateful for your work and assistance.

Special thanks to Dr. Huda Zoghbi and Dr. Ruthie Amir and all researchers and MDs who have looked for a genetic cause for Rett syndrome for countless hours over the years! Your dedication and drive have furthered our children's chances of living significantly improved lives.

Special thanks to all MECP2 researchers who have worked on MECP2 for over a decade prior to finding that a genetic mutation in the MECP2 area can cause Rett syndrome! Your prior work has expedited the research for Rett syndrome one hundred fold!

Special thanks to the National Institues of Health (NIH) for the millions of dollars they have paid out over the years to support Rett syndrome and MECP2 research over the years through grants for researchers all over the world. Please keep helping our girls by supporting research!

And special thanks to all the doctors, researchers, therapists, educators and medical community support all our children have received over the years!

By working together, we can continue to improve the lives of those living with Rett syndrome even further and some day, find a cure!
